Bhrigu Lake Trek (Himachal Pradesh)

Firstly it is Situated towards the east of Rohtang Pass and it is around 6 km away from Gulaba. It is believed that long ago a famous saint ‘Maharishi Bhrigu’ used to meditate here and hence it is named after him.

The trail also gives mind-blowing views of other famous peaks like the views of Seven Sisters or Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, Pir Panjal range.

The route of the trail passes through the rich line of Oak and Cedar forests, lush green meadows, open grasslands, and Apple orchards.

The place can be visited from mid-May to October but the perfect time is from March to May and after July-August due to monsoon month, when there are high chances of natural calamities.

Great Lake Trek (Jammu & Kashmir)

The Great Lake Trek also regarded as the Sonamarg-Vishansar-Narang Trek is a high-altitude Trek in Kashmir in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The lake is nestled at a height of around 13000 feet above sea level. The trek offers a lifetime experience to all nature lovers and hikers.

The trail route goes through alpine mountains, green meadows, rocky terrain, snow-capped views of glaciers.

The interesting part about trekking here one will get the opportunity to see five beautiful lakes together. The trek is rated as moderate to difficult, so one needs sound body fitness before hiking here.

In other words, the ideal time to visit this place is from June to September to witness the greenery.

Prashar Lake Trek (Himachal Pradesh)

Prashar Lake Trek is a blue water lake surrounded by the Dhauladhar range in Kullu valley. It is standing at a maximum altitude of 8900 feet above sea level.

The lake is named after Prashar Rishi, who meditated here back and the temple itself was built in the 13th century in the honor of the Rishi due to which this place is treated as a sacred place by the locals.

The trek route passes through a charming trail through a forest and many water streams. Prashar Lake Trek is rated as an easy trail and hence it is suitable for all hikers.

The best time to hike this place is in the months of November and December.

Roopkund Trek (Uttarakhand)

Roopkund is a famous glacial lake which is located in the Himalayas and standing roughly at a height of 4800 meters/15,969 feet above sea level.

The lake is located in the Chamoli district of Garhwal in Uttarakhand. Overall the water body lies in the lap of Mt. Trishul.

The lake is also regarded as the skeleton Lake due to the discovery of human skeletons in and around it for which it is also called the mystery lake.

The trail route passes through the dense green forests, streams, rolling meadows, and snow-covered terrains.

The trek is recommended for experienced trekkers as it is rated as moderate to difficult in difficulty level. The best time to do this trail is during the summer months that are April, May, and June before the arrival of the monsoon.

Trek duration: 8 days

Difficulty: moderate to difficult

Base Camp: Lohajung

Kareri Lake Trek (Himachal Pradesh)

Kareri Lake Trek is a high altitude Lake Trek which starts from the Base Camp of Snow Monk Camp in Salli village near Dharamshala.

So It is standing at a height of 2934 meters/11,972 feet above sea level. The trail goes through the lush green forest with a river flowing next to the trail where one can get to witness the snow-capped views of the Dhauladhar range.

However, this place can be visited by trekkers throughout the year but the best time is in summer (May to July) and autumn (September to November).

The trek can be counted among those few Trek which can be done during the monsoon season. In conclusion, the trail is as easy to moderate and it is a must-do trek for every adventure enthusiast.
